La Vague is a restaurant that offers brunch all week long. Often, brunch is associated with the weekend, but this restaurant decided to innovate.
The motto of La Vague “Good Food Every Day,” is to offer a gourmet cuisine by combining healthy and especially local products. This was the dream of Julien, a young man who, after a road trip in Australia and with many ideas in his head, decided to return to France and create a warm place where healthy cuisine is served at all times. This is how the idea of this brunch restaurant was born in Hyères.
My Experience
To enjoy a brunch at this restaurant, I think it’s wise to reserve. It’s also possible to show up without a reservation, because, let’s remember, service is continuous.
We are well received, we are seated, the place is very nice, it almost feels like a beach restaurant in Hossegor.
The restaurant is full. We have to ask for the menu ourselves. After taking our order, we’re surprised to see that tables of four are being served before us even though we arrived well before and there are only 2 of us.
Finally after 1:15 wait, our brunch arrives, and it’s very good.
I admit that this wait somewhat spoiled the enjoyment for us, which is a pity.
When paying the bill, the staff asked me if everything went well, to which I replied by pointing out the (very) long wait, but that the brunch was good nonetheless. The girls apologized and offered us our drinks!
