No detail is overlooked at “La Paillote”. Its décor, from floor to ceiling, is the brilliant handiwork of the Feuillazur agency, seamlessly blending sophistication with a laid-back vibe. While the ambiance is a treat, the food takes center stage. Forget the run-of-the-mill four-cheese pizza – innovation is the mantra here! Pizzas, prepared right before your eyes, dazzle with their uniqueness. For those craving variety, a diverse range of tapas and oysters sold individually awaits! Yes, indeed!
My Experience
Upon stepping into “La Paillote”, the owner, Armand, greeted us with a warmth that set the tone for the evening. Here’s a man who knows how to make his guests feel special.
For our meal, we chose the mussels baked with homemade rouille – a flavorful delicacy that won our hearts. We couldn’t resist their panisse fries accompanied by a delightful cheese sauce. And to top it off, we shared a pizza. Next visit, we’re definitely trying the pistachio pesto and burrata pizza!
But, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the wine-tasting journey Armand embarked us on. Wine aficionados can indulge in a blind tasting session where the only hint given is the wine’s color – an audacious and fun venture! And if you’re more into savoring a bottle at your own pace, La Paillote has a delightful surprise: the “pay as you drink” concept, where you’re billed only for the wine you consume. A generous practice that perfectly captures the sharing spirit of this standout restaurant.
